My son shaves his legs. Let me re-phrase that... he shaves his LEG. Yep. I was in the shower one day, and this sweet little voice says, 'look mommy!' as he's running daddy's shaver over his leg.
He's 3.
He mimics everything we do.
But I have a confession... I am the one who started to shave his leg. Not the whole leg... just one spot. He's Italian... through and through. He will be the only kid in kindergarten with a mustache. He has a beautiful birth mark, but some seriously long, black hairs are growing out of it. It doesn't look so good on his cute little boy leg. So I have been shaving it. Until he got a hold of daddy's shaver. Now we hide the shaver.
I wonder if I can wax that spot. There is wax in my boy's future for his 'manscape'... lots of wax.
To my future daughter-in-law, I have two words for you... You're welcome.
We have had some really pretty good blog material around here lately during this waiting... I contemplated telling about the time E swallowed a ball bearing from the closet door... and that Will wanted to make absolutely sure E had passed it {the 'clink' we heard wasn't good enough for him... oh no sir!}, but I will spare that one. The kiddo telling young men in the airport, 'peace out, dudes', mad baseball skills and the conversation that takes place during a game of backyard baseball... we have a lot to smile about and laugh about. A lot of memories being made.
If you want a really good laugh today, head over to this blog and read this post... I laughed and smiled... I really needed that today.
Now I am off to do some research on waxing... just kidding! :-) I am doing the Beth Moore study of James with a group of ladies on Wednesday nights at church... I need to go and work on my lesson while my one shaved leg kiddo is asleep.
Have a blessed weekend.
