We are home. We have been gone for a week or so, and are now back home. We had a great time with our family - celebrating Easter and E-man's birthday, and my dad's and nephew's birthdays too! April is a GREAT month!
I will have a lot to say this week. A lot about blessings. About friends. About being blown away today. About love. About children. Everything is good. We are blessed. I can hardly wait to get back into our routine, and I can write my thoughts and feelings here. This blog...it's my way of "journaling" and it's my outlet. Thank you for reading, sharing our life, and for praying for us.
I will say this - having a child with some SPD, travel is hard on them. Transitioning from normal to abnormal is hard on them. Transitioning back is hard on them. Their world can be turned upside down. It's sometimes a guessing game on how to meet their needs. But the one important thing I have learned is this. Meet them where they are. No matter what you may think, meet them right where they are and try to see from their perspective. But more than that - trust fully in the Lord. He is the tower of refuge and strength. Thank you, Kelly for reminding me of that when I needed that reminding when I was caught in the middle of "messy" this past week.
Home. It's not the location, the state, the city, the house, the bed, the backyard. It's the place where family is. Where friends are. And it's good to be home.
