Just a little while ago I checked our email - nothing exciting...but one email caught my attention. It was an email feed from Tom Davis blog and the title of the email is "Ethiopia to cut international adoptions by 90%". I went to the link and read the full story... I can't even begin to write what it says... so please, just go read it for yourself here
I have checked the State Department's website, and there isn't anything there right now about this - so we will continue to check it.
I sobbed through it as I read it to Will...then full blown hard crying. Will just held me...I held Ethan, he didn't understand, but said, "It's ok mommy...it's ok mommy...God is big." I feel like I have been kicked in the stomach...and I have tears rolling down my cheeks as I write this. BUT... I also know what I wrote the other day and I know that God is a big God and he can do anything. He has this and we are just required to trust him. And to have patience. :)
So though we are hurting right at this moment, we will wait to see what the State Department says...and we will focus on the positives and continue to pray first for the children, then the families and the governments. We also focus on the fact that we know our agency is processing transparent adoptions and crossing their t's and dotting their i's and making sure everything is done correctly.
We are doing a day of fasting and praying on Monday. Will you please join us?

Father I ask you in your sons name JESUS that you protect Will and Kristens child that you find a path and journey to bring their child to them with no barriers with open doors along the way... I ask you LORD to comfort them and give them peace and remind them that you have this adoption it is in your hands and they should still be positive and press forward as if they never heard of this news. I bind this news and cast it to the place that JESUS appointed and never to return again I release the HOLY Spirit over this adoption cover it with the your blood and protect the papers and the process from this LORD... Protect the children in Ethiopia and cancel this assignment against these orphans LORD... they need homes they need love they need YOU LORD to appoint them homes. Hold the Bankers tight and let them know you are with them and with their child in Ethiopia... this adoption is sacred ground in the name of JESUS Amen
