So Excited!!

I am so excited I can barely stand it! I am going to an adoption mommas retreat in February with my good friend Kelly (whom I love dearly; who is not only an adoptive momma too, but she also works with me on Passion1.27)!!! I am so excited I barely slept last night! No joke!! What am I talking about? Here is a link to the site Created to Care Womens Retreat.

This is a time to connect with other adoption mommas and like-minded mommas who are traveling the same journey. Who "get it" about adoption. Who know what it's like to adopt and how hard and joyful it is. Who know that adoptive families are just a different kind of normal. Who are not ok with the global orphan crisis. Who live to see each waiting child find a forever family. Who's heart breaks for the same thing that breaks God's heart. Who know that they are God's plan for the orphan and that there is no plan B. Who are speaking up for those who cannot (Prov. 31:8-9). It should come as no surprise that that verse is in Proverbs 31. And that it proceeds the description of a good wife (v 10-31).

These are my kind of girls. And I can't wait to meet so many of them in person and spend time with them talking, learning, sharing, praising and worshiping our awesome God with them. I am sooooo excited!

I guess I should add...I am going to this retreat as long as we aren't travelling to Ethiopia! We are waiting on our referral(s) right now. And that is all in God's time.
