"There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me."
—1 Corinthians 16:9
Met with my prayer sisters last night - what an awesome, awesome night! Janet found her calling just by talking - how excited we are for her! She's an amazing woman, and has deep compassion for the lost and wants to bring them to Jesus and pray for them. She's so relieved to know what God's plan is for her!
Our adoption journey is on the cooling embers right now...God's plan right now for us is to just wait. So we wait. I have work to do for Him...and He is sending me on a mission trip to Ethiopia. We prayed long and hard about it last night and God gave me directions last night...details...wear the color red. This trip is FOR HIM and work in His kingdom - it's not about me, or my desire to adopt another child...it's about Him. I remind myself that my time is not God's time... He knows the desires of my heart - and I know that He will give those to me - but in His time.
I had been praying and praying and Africa kept coming up for us. Every time I turned around it was AFRICA. We still feel that we are to adopt from Africa - but we know that God has another plan right now for us - and that is to experience the calling He has given me globally. So I will continue to pray for His direction, for His eyes, His ears, His hands...to see, hear and do what He wants me to do.
