Our court date is scheduled for Friday, November 25. The time between now and then is about to fly by. I know. It's already flying by. We have had to move pretty quickly on getting things in order - like airline tickets, research shots, visa, etc... we are checking things off our check list - making sure we have all that we need done.
We have so much to thank the Lord for - he has blessed us and continues to bless us. What better timing for a court date - the day after Thanksgiving in the US. {No Black Friday shopping for me, dang! Will's excited he doesn't have to get up at 3am with me to get to Target for their deals!!}
I remember last year - November 24... I was standing in our bathroom, getting ready for the day when I stopped everything and I sent a text to a few family and friends - it was very heavy on my heart to pray for our referral. And that is exactly what my text said. I don't know why, but we all needed to stop and pray. Isn't it neat to see God's plan unfold? We have so much to be thankful for. We are blessed - and the Lord continues to pour out his blessings on us.
The Lord has always provided for us throughout this adoption. We began it on a leap of faith. We didn’t have the money to start this process, and we worried we wouldn’t have enough money to pay for it without borrowing money from ourselves. The Lord continued to tell us over and over – have faith. I have called you to this. I will provide. He also told me over and over, this adoption is much bigger than you. I have work I want to do and will do it through you and this adoption. I will use other people in your story for I have something for them in this too. So once again, as we began fretting about the cost of the airline tickets (knowing we have to make 2 trips), God continued to tell us not to worry – have faith - he will provide.
We received a gift yesterday….
Someone paid for our airline tickets for our court trip next month. We are humbled…we are blessed…we are thankful beyond words. To this day, the Lord has provided every penny for this adoption. We have not had to borrow any money. When we have needed it, it has been there. Our baskets keep getting filled up when we think it is empty. Thank you, Jesus!!!!
We keep saying, God doesn't call the equipped, he equips the called. God funds what he favors and he favors adoption. He has funded this - it's all his anyway - and he has shown us again and again that he will provide. He simply requires us to have faith, stand strong in Him, release it all to him, be obedient, share his goodness and blessings... telling others what he has done.
We are blessed. Thank you, Jesus.
