Was it a Sign?

I still have to post that which I was writing the morning of July 7.  I will...but I have to capture this before it's gone. {easy these days...there is so much going on!}  We have been getting together all of the paperwork and signing the documents that we needed to sign for the referral and get those things notarized that needed notarizing and get everything to the agency as quick as possible.  I called today to ensure our visa application is at the Embassy in Addis Ababa and yes, it is!



As I was going through some things on the back counter today, I saw this...

And I was reminded of the day I found it.  It was the day I had my physical exam at the Doctor's office for the home study update.  It was the week of VBS. It was June 9.  I emptied the E-man bag that night and I found this size 2 diaper.  I know it wasn't an old one of his because of the brand.  I prefer a particular brand of diaper and this is not it. {E-man has been potty trained since he was 2-1/2} 

I had no clue where this diaper came from.  I showed it to Will...he asked me where it came from. I said I have no idea.  After a short moment of contemplation, I said to him, "do you think we may be getting a referral for an infant?"

I don't know what that diaper meant on that Thursday, June 9.  I don't believe in coincidence. I believe that God is into the very small details of our lives and will communicate with us in various ways....some in your face, some not so in your face. 

Regardless, I have to wonder if HE was giving us a hint of what he had for us, almost 1 month later to the day.  We are still walking on air, and we can't quit looking at that sweet baby's face and just smile...as he smiles back at us.  Thank you, Lord for the blessing of this precious baby boy...our son...Your son. Thank you for entrusting us to raise him for you...we are humbled.
