Road Trip!

Ok, so I was going to wait until after the mail arrives on Monday, but I just can't. I talked to Will and he gave me the thumbs up to post this, so I am.  We got paperwork with our appointment to get our fingerprints done at USCIS in Jacksonville!  We only got one of ours, so figure the other one will come in Monday's mail. I want to post a photo - but am going to wait until we have both.

We are so excited - this is one step closer to our child(ren)! We go on July 14. We are trying to figure out the whole trip - 5 hours in the car one way... 10 hour round trip is a lot for the little guy. We are going to see what we can do; this is one of those times it would be GREAT to have family who lived close by! Our sitter is gone on a mission trip so...we are looking at staying over night or finding someone else to stay with the little man and we will do the 10 hour driving trip in one day by ourselves.

Either way, to say we are excited is an understatement. I felt like Clark Griswold when I saw the envelope in the mailbox. (Christmas Vacation..when he got the envelope from the courier who was delivering his Christmas "bonus"...but before he found out it was a jelly of the month club!)  God's timing is always perfect - He is showing us over and over that this is His plan. Our home study was sent to USCIS on June 22 where it caught up with our I600A paperwork and today we got our appointment paperwork...that was quick!

After the tears of joy and the jumping up and down, we dropped to our knees to thank the Lord for moving so swiftly and carrying us on this journey. He is almighty and He is sovereign...thank you, Lord!

Happy 4th of July - be blessed and celebrate the gifts and the freedoms we have - for they are many.
