I have to share this link with you...Babe of My Heart, another family who is adopting from Ethiopia and Andrea, the momma, went to get Isaac. I read her "wow, Wow, WOW" post last night with Will, and I could not read it. I was bawling...I had that "hiccup in the middle of a cry" kind of cry. She speaks truth - and how God works and how we love because He loves us. We know without a doubt that we will be forever changed, in a very deep way and hope to imagine our journey may be similar to this if it's God's will.
Her expression of emotion is what we feel in our hearts already. Some of her feelings we have already felt when we adopted the little man and had the opportunity to meet and spend time with his birth mom; maybe that's why it hit us so hard when we read it. Or it could just be the fact that we are passionate about our journey and what we have been called to do.
If you scroll down further, you will see pictures of her first meeting her son at the orphanage. Will looked at those pictures and said to me through tears running down his cheeks, "I can't wait until pictures like that have us in them. I can't wait to get there."
We are waiting patiently for a green piece of paper to arrive in the mail. And while we wait, we are praying that God will continue to use us every day for His purposes and to His glory.
